Takhzyro - Instructions For Use
Pre-production, on-location shoot, editorial, design & animation / Agency: Dudnyk
People suffering from a hereditary disease such as hereditary angioedema (HAE) are faced with a lifetime of managing their health and happiness. Without a cure, treating, and ideally preventing symptoms is an inescapable way of life. Luckily modern medicine has progressively made life easier for these people with the discovery and development of new medicines and treatments. Lanadelumab (Brand name: Takhzyro) is one such drug, which can be self-administered for the prevention of HAE attacks in patients - allowing them to regain control of their lives and stave off the effects of this debilitating disease.
But Takhzyro, like many ground-breaking medicines, is not a simple pill. As an injectable drug great care needs to be taken in administration, either by the patient themselves or a caregiver. Therefore education on the storage, preparation, administration, and disposal of Takhzyro is paramount to ensure the efficacy of the treatment, and the results the patient depends on. This is why Dudnyk reached out to us to produce the long-form Instructions for Use video for Takhzyro - because of our expertise in long-from pharmaceutical videos, and core capabilities in live-action editorial and motion graphic design and animation.
From pre-production through post we worked closely with Dudnyk and their client, Shire, to keep this project on schedule and on-brand. In pre-pro we handled talent casting, location scouting, and all the accoutrements like wardrobe, props, etc.. Client and agency were present on shoot day to ensure all steps in preparation and administration were faithfully and clearly followed. Similarly in post we kept the client in the loop from start to finish, from a first rough cut all the way through the fine cut with motion graphics, color grading, and mix. Because while we at Blue have extensive experience in creating videos for the pharmaceutical industry, we’ll be the first to acknowledge that when it comes to the messaging around any type of drug, the client is always the expert.
We take these projects very seriously, no matter the budget or the breadth of work, because for patients and caregivers it could be more than just a simple video, it could be life changing.
